Symptoms of Yeast Infection



In medical terms,a  yeast infection is known as Candidiasis. A group of yeast or microscopic fungi causes it and the group is called Candida. Candida has over 20 species but the most common one that is present in human beings is the Candida Albicans. Fungi grow, as well as, multiply in a high speed under specific conditions. The fungi develop on moist and dark parts of a human’s body, for example, the genital and mouth regions. Yeast infection and its symptoms vary as per the infection’s location.

Yeast infection in women develops as vaginal infection. The signs and symptoms of vaginal infection are

  • cheesy and white color discharge
  • vaginal itchiness

Many a times, the infection causes burning sensations and also aches, especially during urination and sexual intercourse.

Even men are diagnosed with yeast infection. It develops because of unhygienic habits, poor diet or unprotected sex.

Thrush or oral candidiasis is characterized by lacy itchy patch, which occurs within the mouth on the red base. It can occur on the palate, tongue and different other parts within one’s mouth. At times, the region that is infected tends to occur like milk curdles. Yeast infection in the mouth makes it really difficult to eat. Babies are highly susceptible to getting diagnosed with oral yeast infection.

Candida or yeast also lives on our skin naturally. Individuals having weak immune system are highly susceptible to getting diagnosed with the infection in their internal organs. Yeast infection can happen to women, men and also babies. It is vital to take immediate preventive measures, before it becomes too late!
